Annual Ensemble Recital
Our annual ensemble recital will be held on Saturday, May 14th, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Dunbar Heights Baptist Church. Check with your teacher about the duet or trio with which your child can play. Our ensemble violin groups, guitar chamber, and garage bands will also be performing.
Registration for 2022-23
Registration for summer lessons opens on May 24th. Fall registration for the 2022-23 session opens on June 1st.
Upcoming Faculty Concert
Mikyla Jensen, flautist, will perform on May 29th at 2:30 p.m. Location: Tapestry at Wesbrook Mall.
February Faculty Concert
At the February Faculty Concert, pianist Yiping Wang will be performing Bach and Beethoven. Date and Time: Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 2:30pm Location: Tapestry Building, Wesbrook Village Admission: Free
Annual Concerto Competition
The annual concerto competition will be held at Mastery School of Music with adjudicator . The categories and levels will be Junior, Intermediate, and Senior Piano and Junior, Intermediate, and Senior Woodwinds and Strings. Date and Time: Sunday, February 27, 2022 at 1:00-6:00pm Location: Mastery School of Music
Spring Student Recitals
On March 6, the Awards Recitals for the Concerto Competition will be held in three sessions—at 2:00, 3:00, and 4:00pm at Showcase Pianos. Date and Time: Sunday, March 6, 2022 at 2:00, 3:00, and 4:00pm Location: Showcase Pianos, 1128 West Broadway Admission: $10 per family

Watch Adam Sun’s amazing performance at the 2019 Gifted Artists Concerto Gala
Adam Sun is a student of Burnaby North Secondary School. He started learning piano with Irina Faletski when he was 7 years old. Adam participated in various music competition in Vancouver and received many distinctions from several festivals such as the Vancouver Kiwanis Music Festival and Festival on the Lake.
He likes collaborating with other musicians and, last summer, he took part in an ensemble for four pianists, a new piece written by Canadian composer Alex Pechenyuk, the name being “Summer Overture.”
In 2018 Adam was 2nd place winner of the Canadian Music Competition. At the time of performing in the 2019 Gifted Artists Concerto Gala, Adam was 11 years old. Adam performed the A. Rubinstein Piano Concerto No. 4 in D minor, Opus 70.
