Summer Camps

The popular summer camps are taught a various times during the summer.

Little Music Makers (ages 4-5)

This camp is ideal for those looking to have an exposure to a variety of musical experiences in a fun, friendly, and welcoming environment. The session is broken into short modules, including Music Through Storytelling (Orff/Kodaly), Introductory Recorder Class, and Introductory Piano Class.

Tune Your Voice (ages 8-14)

Join our accomplished voice faculty and learn a variety of vocal techniques! Practise and perform in small ensembles, staging, movement, and acting to overcome your stage anxiety.

Pop Music Makers (ages 6-12)

Discover the musician within you. Short modules include guitar class, Introduction to Percussion/Drum Set, Soundtrax, and Garage Band.

Improvise and Compose Your Own Music (ages 8-15)

Learn to write songs and compose pieces in your own creative style. These compositions will be recorded, and participants will will receive a CD at the end of the week. This camp is open for all instruments, but at least one year of musical instruction is required.

Song Writing 101 (ages 9-16)

Do you want to write and record your own song? Pre-Requisite: Basic ability to play an instrument and sing a pop song of your choice. The course includes the study of common pop song structures. You will learn about Garage Band as a class tool to write/record your own songs. Students will be coached in preparations for recording songs. Bringing a laptop (with your garage band) would be very helpful during class.

Little Violinists (ages 5-8)

This camp prepares a child to approach the violin with eagerness and musicality. Students will learn the fundamental elements of Suzuki violin playing: the basic posture, bow hold, violin hold, and early Suzuki rhythms in a fun and high-energy setting.
