Caterina Cociani (BMus,  BEd)

Caterina Cociani is pursuing her Bachelor of Music and Bachelor of Education at the University of British Columbia. She has studied with Gene Ramsbottom and Michelle Anderson, and currently studies with Jose Franch-Ballester.

Caterina began playing the clarinet at 10 years old and began teaching beginner clarinet 2 years later. She is passionate about education and plans to eventually move back to her hometown of Prince Rupert to teach music.

Caterina takes a holistic approach to teaching, integrating theory and history into her lessons. She hopes to inspire students to find their own passion in music.

When she is not practicing or teaching clarinet, Caterina enjoys gardening and spending time with family and friends.
