Janelle Xu

Janelle Xu (BMus and BEd (pending))

Janelle Xu began studying the clarinet at the age of 11, and is pursuing a Dual Bachelor of Music and Bachelor of Education at the University of British Columbia. She has substantial experience in ensemble, chamber, and solo music performances.

With teaching as her passion, Janelle aims to become a secondary school music teacher after graduation. She has experience teaching and working with students from Grades 1 to 12 and has worked with VSO Connects Elementary, bringing music education to young students. Additionally, she has conducted clinics at schools across Greater Vancouver.

Janelle believes in a holistic approach to music education, striving not only to enhance technical skills but also to cultivate a lifelong appreciation for music and the arts among her students.
