Glee Devereaux (BMus and BEd)
Glee Devereaux has been an active participant in the musical community for over twenty years. Her training includes a Bachelor of Arts, a Bachelor of Music in Oboe Performance, a Bachelor of Education, and a Diploma in English as a Second Language, all from U.B.C. As an educator with the Vancouver School Board, Glee directed programs for Elementary Band and Classroom Music. Her groups participated regularly in the Kiwanis Festival as well as the VSB’s Nights of Band Festival, and she even travelled with one student ensemble on a tour to MusicFest Canada in Ottawa. She has taught all band instruments, but oboe is her specialty.Â
Since leaving the public system, Glee has become interested in Piano Pedagogy. She is enthusiastically continuing her learning in this area and is currently studying advanced piano as well as history. Additionally, she plays oboe and saxophone as part of the Ensemble 15 Field RCA Band in which she has been a member for over twenty years. Glee is very excited to be part of the Mastery Music Team.
