MSMV offers private lessons in piano for ages 3-seniors. Lessons are individualized by expert teachers all with Master's degrees or DMA degrees, who structure the lesson according to the desires of the parent or student and the needs of the student. Lessons for very young children begin with 15 minutes/twice weekly, thirty minutes for young children in combination with a musicianship class, and longer lengths based on age and level of study. A formal, classical approach is offered as well as a fun, light, varied music approach. Opportunities for ensembles and performance are available through masterclasses, recitals (up to four times/year), examinations, competitions or community service. Tuition fees vary from $28/ half hour to $37.5/half hour depending on the teacher. Preparation for Royal Conservatory of Music or Conservatory Canada examinations are encouraged, but not mandatory. We also offer Suzuki piano lessons for 3-6 year olds along with a Suzuki piano class. This is taught by Samantha Bogdanski. Piano faculty are: Jeeyeon Ryu, Scott Meek, Alejandro Ochoa, Daniel Furtado, Melody Yong, Mimi Ho, Tiffany Chen, Helena Kim, Beverley Leung, Chris Morano, Samantha Bogdanski and Tea Petrovic.
